So proud of her

While I was in DC last week (more to come on this later), Sara and I ran the Cherry Blossom 10 miler.  This is the same race I ran last year and about four or five months ago, Sara surprised me by saying she wanted to run the race.  We were both selected in the lottery and have spent the last few months training.  Despite a few set backs during training, Sara did awesome on race day.  The hardest part, I think, may have been waking up and getting to the course so early in the morning.  We ran the race together the whole way with me helping to pace Sara and filling up her water bottle at the stops.  When we crossed that finish line together (she beat me), I could not have been more proud of my future wife.

I wasn't allowed to take any photos on the race and I think Sara would kill me if I linked to the professional race photos - so you will have to settle for the before and after selfies.

Before the race - it was really cold!

After we're done
